Players each manage an identical island board and lay tiles from a shared draw to open jungle paths toward four temples. Tiles are placed to build routes for four explorers, who advance along connected paths; the first player to guide an explorer into a matching temple scores a bonus and the game can end early if one player reaches all temples. Gems and gold along the paths provide additional points when collected, and dead ends and branching choices force route planning and timing. When the last tile is placed or all explorers reach temples, players total temple bonuses and collected items; the highest score wins.

I liked it, others not *that* much sadly. I think it's a nice filler with great components. It has a "roll & write" feel, but I like that you actually lay the tiles down instead of drawing. A few more plays in and it doesn't seem to be too replayable unfortunately. It's the same old (not that interesting) puzzle every time with no interaction between the players. Still a nice light game, but I'm not 100% I want to keep it. Printed out the P&P bonus tiles and got the Volcano expansion. We'll see if those will be enough to keep it interesting. + The Volcano + Bonus Tiles (P&P)

No interaction between the players, that's very boring. But could be good to play with kids. You can do only 2 or 3 things. At least it's easy and fast to teach.

Regelfrågor

Besvarat ur regelboken av Ludoyas regelassistent.

Can I rotate a jungle tile before placing it on my island?

No — the tile must be placed with its number in the upper-left corner, and it must lie entirely on a free field of the grid (so orientation is fixed as shown). (Rulebook p.5)

If I discard a tile that has 3 exits, can I move three steps and split them between two adventurers?

No — when you discard a tile you may move one adventurer up to the number of steps equal to the paths leading to the tile edge, and movement points may not be distributed among several adventurers (you may forfeit unused steps). (Rulebook p.5)

Do I collect a crystal or gold nugget when I pass over its tile, or do I have to stop on it?

You must finish your turn on the treasure tile and forfeit any additional movement points to collect it; you may also choose not to collect and pass by. (Rulebook p.6)

What happens if several players reach the same temple on the same turn — do they get the same points?

Yes — each player receives the same number of victory points: the first takes the highest-value treasure, the others take lower-value treasures and receive crystals from the stockpile to make up the difference so all get equal points. (Rulebook p.6)

Can two adventurers occupy the same tile, or can I jump over another adventurer?

No — only one adventurer may occupy a tile at a time and you may not leap over other adventurers. (Rulebook p.5)

When does the game end?

The game ends when either the last of the 36 jungle tiles is uncovered by the expedition leader or when all four adventurers of one player have reached their temples, whichever occurs first. (Rulebook p.6)
