Magic Number Eleven

Players take the role of football coaches directing tactical play over two halves, each made up of multiple turns. On a turn a coach places a Player Card onto a shared field board to indicate the team’s focus and which player anchors the tactic; semicircular icons on cards combine to form the team’s tactical profile. Four icon types—Attack, Defence, Pass and Press—determine available actions: attempt a shot, draw Synergy Cards, or advance the Control marker. Shots compare attack versus defence totals, modified by Synergy Cards and Control; a total of exactly eleven is an unstoppable “magic” goal, while totals above eleven always miss. Rounds end when the Synergy deck is exhausted and the higher-scoring team wins.
