Othello

Place discs and flip any opponent discs trapped between a new disc and another of your color. Players alternate turns, aiming to flip as many discs to their color as possible as the board state shifts repeatedly. Play ends when no legal moves remain; the winner is the player with the most discs showing their color. The rules derive from 19th-century abstract origins and use a fixed-grid board where placement and immediate flipping determine captures.
