Stella: Dixit Universe

Players act as starseekers who interpret a common clue word and associate it with illustrated cards laid out on the table. Each round, a shared word is revealed and every player secretly marks which cards they link to that word on a personal erasable slate. Matching other players’ choices scores points, while choosing cards no one else selects can incur penalties. Play runs four rounds and totals points to determine the winner(s). The game combines visual association with risk management as players balance consensus-seeking against individual reads of the artwork.

Regelfrågor

Besvarat ur regelboken av Ludoyas regelassistent.

Do I have to mark at least one Dixit card, or can I mark zero?

You must mark at least one card and may mark up to 10 cards on your Personal Slate (you cannot mark zero). (p.3)

Do I have to keep my Personal Slate hidden or can others look at it after I finish?

Your Personal Slate must remain hidden from other players at all times; after selecting you pass the felt-tip to the left to signal completion and keep the slate hidden. If you fall during Reveal you must keep the slate in your hand because your crosses may still matter for others. (p.3, p.5)

What exactly happens if I'm the Scout and nobody else picked the card I show?

That is a Fall: the Scout fills no stars for that card, can no longer fill stars or be a Scout for the rest of the round, and must keep their Personal Slate in hand. (p.5)

When and why do I flip my Lantern Token to the Dark side, and what does being "in the Dark" do to my score?

After announcing how many boxes you checked, the player who alone has checked more boxes than anyone else flips their Lantern Token to Dark; being "in the Dark" means if you fell at least once you must remove one star from each Spark/Super‑Spark before tallying points (if you never fell you score normally). The bonus star from a Super‑Spark still counts. (p.4, p.6)

If I already fell, can I still be part of a Spark or Super‑Spark and score for it?

Players who have fallen can still be part of Sparks or Super‑Sparks (their crosses may cause others to get Sparks), but fallen players do not fill any stars for those results. (p.5)

Who becomes the next Scout and when does the Reveal step end?

After resolving a reveal, the player to the left of the current Scout becomes the new Scout unless they have fallen or have no crosses left, in which case the turn passes clockwise to the next eligible player; the Reveal step ends when all players have fallen or when remaining players who didn't fall have no crosses left to show. (p.6)
