Yokai Septet

Players act as rival Onmyoji competing to capture powerful Yokai by playing cards in trick-taking fashion. Each turn, players follow suit and the highest card of the lead suit wins the trick and takes the played cards, which may include high-value Boss Yokai worth scoring points. In four-player games players form two-person teams; in three-player games everyone competes individually. A round ends when a team or player captures the required number of Boss Yokai (four in 4-player, three in 3-player), and the winner scores based on captured Boss Yokai. Rounds repeat until a target score (commonly 2 for a short game or 7 for an advanced game) determines the overall winner.
