Canals of Amsterdam

Players build canals through Amsterdam, dividing the city into enclosed areas and competing for control of its markets. On each turn, a player draws an influence token and either places it in an empty space or discards it to build canals equal to its value. When an area containing one or two markets is enclosed, the player with the most influence claims its market tokens and wealth based on the area’s size. Tied players divide the combined reward. The game ends when all markets are controlled, players run out of tiles, or all canals are placed; the player with the most wealth wins.
