Motif

Motif is a board game for 2 players. It plays in 10–30 minutes and is meant for ages 6 and up.

A head-to-head board game in which players compete to occupy the most squares on a 5×5 grid. Each player uses three pawns and places new ones on squares reachable from existing pawns, then moves their other pawns through the board without diagonals or jumps. Pawns leave colored marks on every square they occupy, with each placement affecting the player’s zone of control. The board begins empty, and the player controlling the most squares when it is filled wins.
