Four heroes explore modular dungeon tiles, confront monsters, disarm traps and collect treasure across linked scenarios. Play alternates between exploration and combat phases, with a more detailed combat system that uses to-hit and to-wound rolls, ranged attacks, criticals and fumbles. The game supports solo or cooperative play, includes a random dungeon-generation system, henchmen, multiple magic colleges with spellbooks, and a fate-point undo mechanic.
