Claim

Players recruit followers and then use them to vie for control of five rival factions after the king's death. Play unfolds in two phases: a drafting-like recruitment phase where players build a pool of follower cards, followed by a trick-taking phase in which those followers are played to contest each faction. Each faction grants a unique power that can differ between phases and influences how tricks resolve. At the end, majority control of a faction yields its vote; the first player to secure votes from at least three factions wins.

Regelspørgsmål

Besvaret ud fra regelbogen af Ludoyas regelassistent.

Do I have to follow faction when the Leader plays a card?

Yes — if you have a card of the faction the Leader played you must play it (except you may play a Doppelgänger instead). (page 1)

If the Leader plays a Doppelgänger, what must I play?

If the Leader plays a Doppelgänger, you must follow faction by playing a Doppelgänger if you have one; the Doppelgänger counts as the faction of the first card. (page 1)

If I play a different faction than the Leader, does the Leader automatically win the trick?

Generally yes: if the second player plays a different faction the Leader automatically wins the trick, unless a faction power (Doppelgänger or Knight) changes that outcome. (page 1)

How do Undead cards score in Phase One — do they go to Followers or Score?

Played Undead cards are placed face-up in the trick winner’s Score pile in Phase One; however, an Undead card that was the face-up middle card and is won still goes into the winner’s Followers pile. (page 1)

What happens to Dwarves in Phase Two — who gets them?

In Phase Two the player who loses the trick collects all Dwarves played that trick and adds them to their Score pile, while the winner takes any non-Dwarf cards played. (page 1)

How is a trick winner decided if both play the same faction or the same value?

The winner is the highest-valued card of the faction led (0 lowest, 9 highest); in case of a tie the Leader wins the trick. (page 1)
