Players build and evolve animal species from a large deck of creature cards and place them into changing biomes that each have distinct requirements and food availability. Across 3–4 eras, biome shifts and event cards alter conditions, forcing players to mutate species or migrate them between zones to maintain adaptation and avoid extinction. Points (Darwin points) attach to species and are collected only after the final era, so surviving and timing actions matter as much as short-term gains. The game emphasizes strategic card allocation, anticipating opponents, and flexible planning amid card-draw randomness.
