New volcanic islands rise from the sea and players act as scientists studying their developing ecosystems. Players roll dice each round to gather research and make discoveries, using those results to add plants and animals and to modify their personal research board. The islands on the table grow in three dimensions as players place colorful flora and fauna and track ecosystem development. After eight rounds, players score for biodiversity, how well their islands have flourished, and for meeting changing research objectives.
