Revive

Lead a tribe across a frozen, post-apocalyptic landscape 5,000 years after civilization’s collapse. Players explore hidden tiles, recruit citizen cards, and harness terrain resources to build factories and custom machines on a dual-layer player board. Each turn a player takes two actions from options like playing a card (with slot-dependent effects), exploring to reveal area tiles and recruit new citizens, populating ancient sites to relearn technologies, or building factories to advance machine tracks. Ancient sites and artifact locations are randomized and drive strategy; the game ends when all artifacts are claimed and the highest-scoring player wins. Supports 1–4 players with asymmetric powers, a five-part campaign that unlocks content, and high replayability without direct player conflict.

Do you love playing board games where it doesn't matter what others do? Here you go, a multiplayer solitaire game. You have dozens of possibilities which lead to AP for some players. And because you don't care what others do, you just sit there and wait for your turn. You have no control if others play correctly because it's too fiddly, here a resource there a resource, multiple tracks, multiple bonus stuff and so on. 100% abstract, the theme is not here. I prefer PC games over multiplayer solitaire board games. Here you are spending 2hrs+ in game and over 1hr is sitting there and doing nothing. [c] Theme: ★☆☆☆☆ <!-- size 7]Badly pasted on --> Gameplay: ★★☆☆☆ <!-- size 7]Way too much things you can do --> Interaction: ★☆☆☆☆ <!-- size 7]Very little, most of the time you don't care --> Artwork: ★★★☆☆ <!-- size 7]Ok --> Luck: ★★★☆☆ <!-- size 7]Random cards, random tiles --> Strategy: ★★★★☆ <!-- size 7]Multiple strategies possible --> Components: ★★★★☆ <!-- size 7]Very nice --> Play duration: ★★☆☆☆ <!-- size 7]Too long for my taste --> Easy to teach: ★★☆☆☆ <!-- size 7]A lot to teach (45min) --> Rules quality: <!-- size 7]not read --> Setup time: ★★☆☆☆ <!-- size 7]Quite a lot to setup --> No downtime: ★☆☆☆☆ <!-- size 7]Heavy AP game --> Replay value: ★★★☆☆ <!-- size 7]Modular board --> [/c]

Can I take the same action twice on my turn?

Yes. You may take up to two actions, and they can be the same action or two different actions. Trading crystals, activating machines, and opening crates are free actions and don’t use those actions (p. 9).

How do I count range, and can I move through unexplored tiles?

Count only the spaces between your nearest piece and the target (or from the chasm before you place your first piece), paying 1 food per space. You can count through occupied spaces, but not through unexplored area tiles (p. 11).

When I explore, can I pick any facedown tile on the board?

No. You must be able to reach it without passing through other unexplored area tiles, and you pay both the tile’s cost and the range cost. After exploring, recruit one citizen card from the display or deck (p. 11).

If I populate a location another player already occupies, what do I pay?

Pay the range cost, the book cost shown for the technology you’re unlocking, and 1 book to each other player already at that location. Each player may populate a location only once, but multiple players can share it (p. 12).

When I hibernate, can I use my machines before returning my energy?

Yes, you may spend remaining energy to activate machines at the beginning of hibernation. After you return the energy to storage, you can’t activate any more machines that turn (p. 15).

When the last major artifact is taken, does the game end immediately?

No. The player who takes it finishes their turn, then every other player takes one last complete turn. Purple points are tallied at the end and don’t earn rewards from scoring-track bonus spaces (pp. 17, 8).
