The Dutch Golden Age

This game focuses on the economic and cultural development of the Netherlands during the 17th century. Players build influence across the provinces, patronize artists, invest in businesses, establish colonies in the East and West Indies, and pursue civic advancements. These activities are represented by cards from six specialized decks. Players earn income from provincial influence and spaces on the board track, then spend it to acquire investments, support artists, assemble colonial expeditions, and gain governorships or civic improvements. Investment sets provide payouts, while artists require several turns of patronage before scoring. The first player to reach 33 victory points wins.
