Beneath the Broken Stair

A desperate cry, a disturbance in the night, and a sanity-draining howl signal another victim of the Hook-Winged Demon. The heroes must investigate the caverns beneath a broken staircase and decide whether to confront the creature responsible. This short adventure is designed for a single session of Dragonbane. It suits adventurers of any experience level with minor adjustments and works as a standalone scenario or an interlude in a longer campaign. Although set in the Misty Valley, it can be relocated to any remote farming community or small village.
