でんしゃクジラ (Densha Kujira)

A card game inspired by the set-building appeal of mahjong and rummy. Players draw cards and try to arrange all nine cards in hand into sets. Rhinos, goats, and alligators form pairs; whales require three cards; and trains and bullet trains consist of three or more connected cars, with longer combinations possible. Several scoring patterns provide different routes to victory, including collecting cards of one color, assembling only whales, or playing the entire hand as a single bullet train. The game supports repeated play with varied approaches to completing a hand.
