In The Strange, cyphers are single-use devices that produce unusual and often powerful effects, with their forms shaped by the recursion where they appear. Twenty item cards provide physical forms, while 100 power cards offer multiple effect options. Draw cards instead of rolling on tables, then give the resulting cypher card to a player to keep until it is used.
