Players take the role of tribal chiefs in the time of Erik the Red, building longboats to carry Vikings to Greenland. They construct and equip ships, gather provisions, and place as many Vikings from their own tribe aboard as possible. Ships must pass inspection by the other chiefs, and the tribe with the strongest representation on the completed vessels prevails.
