The Dark Valley

A strategic simulation of the entire Eastern Front campaign from 1941 to 1945, covering operations from Leningrad to the Caucasus at a scale of 20 miles per hex and 1–2 months per turn. Players command historically represented formations—divisions, corps and armies—with roughly 600 counters and supply-depot mechanics to model Axis logistical constraints. Movement and combat follow standard operational procedures, while a chit-pull activation system determines the order and timing of actions each turn, introducing uncertainty and operational tension. The game offers a full campaign plus shorter scenarios (Barbarossa, Case Blue, Kursk, destruction of Army Group Center), and supports solitaire play.
