Disney Villainous: La fin est proche !

Three Disney villains vie for power, each with a unique objective, personal deck, fate deck, player board, and 3D figure. On a turn, the active player moves to a location on their board, takes the actions shown there—often by playing cards from hand—and then refills to four cards. Cards include allies, items, effects, and conditions that advance a villain’s specific win condition. One action lets a player draw from another’s fate deck and play a card onto that opponent’s board to block actions and introduce heroes or obstacles. The set plays standalone and integrates with prior standalone villain sets for larger games.

Questions de règles

Réponses tirées du livret par l'assistant de règles de Ludoya.

Do I have to move my Villain every turn or can I stay and use the same location?

You must move your Villain to a different location on your turn and may not stay at your previous location; after moving you may perform the location’s available actions in any order (see page 7).

When I take a Fate action, do I have to play one of the revealed cards or can I discard both?

Reveal two cards from the target’s Fate deck, choose one to play and discard the other to their Fate discard; if a revealed Fate card cannot be played it must be discarded, and if both revealed cards cannot be played you discard both (pages 10 and 18).

If I play an Ally to a location, can I use it immediately to vanquish a Hero there on the same turn?

Yes — playing an Ally puts it into your Realm at that location, and because actions on a location may be performed in any order you can play an Ally (using a Play a Card action) and then perform a Vanquish action using Allies at that location, provided the required action symbols are available (see pages 7, 8, 11 and the Reference on page 17).

When can I play Condition cards — do I have to play them the moment the trigger happens?

Condition cards are played during an opponent’s turn exactly when their requirement is met and are resolved immediately (playing them is optional, but you cannot wait to play them later if the trigger has already passed) (pages 15 and 19).

If a card’s text conflicts with the rulebook, which one takes precedence?

The text on cards and in Villain Guides takes precedence over the Instructions in the rulebook; if a card or Villain Guide conflicts with these rules, follow the card or guide (page 18).

If a Hero’s Strength is reduced to 0 by other cards, can I just remove that Hero without vanquishing?

No — even if a Hero’s Strength is reduced to 0 you must still defeat them by a Vanquish action or a card Ability; however, if you Vanquish a Hero with Strength 0 you need not discard Allies to do so (page 19).
