Tectonic Tribes

In Tectonic Tribes, five tribes are trying to find their way through the mysterious land of Joldu. A world where the terrain is still forming and shifting tectonic plates are constantly creating new surprises. Each of these Tectonic Tribes aim to secure areas for themselves. Which tribe will be victorious when the terrain comes to rest? The players take turns playing cards in the ever-expanding area between the players. The various areas, such as forest areas, water areas and diamond mines, can grow. Because the cards are placed on top of each other, the areas can also be interrupted. A player can use a tribe card to border an area and score points this way. But be careful! You only score points if your tribe has the majority of tents next to an area. Does another tribe have more tents bordering the same territory? Then your opponent gets the points and you get nothing at all. The order in which the cards are placed is determined by the number in the corner of the card. The player who plays the lowest card is the first to place a area or tribe card in the territory, whereby at least one and a maximum of five of the areas on the card must overlap with a card or cards that are already on the table. Try to expand your own territories in a clever way and interrupt the territories of your opponents so that you end up as the largest tribe and win the game. —description from the publisher
