Battle Line

Two players contest nine flags arrayed along a line, trying to capture five flags or three adjacent flags to win. Each flag is resolved by building a three-card formation on each side—hands rank like poker (straight flush, three of a kind, straight, flush, pair, high card) and the higher formation claims the flag. Players draw and play cards from a shared deck, holding seven cards and placing one card per turn to strengthen formations or block the opponent. Optional tactic cards and a variant timing rule add strategic depth to the basic card-placement contest.
