Players take the role of mafia bosses managing crews and businesses to turn a profit while undermining rivals. Each turn, players hire and deploy gangster cards to collect money, attack opponents, or execute planned actions placed face down. Businesses provide abilities or monopolies—drug dealing, moneylending, prostitution, nightclubs, casinos, waste management—and are often required to complete lucrative jobs. Negotiation, bribery, and temporary alliances with other players enable access to needed business cards, but bargaining, spying, threats, and betrayal are common. New action cards and additional gangsters enter each round, increasing options for cooperation and backstabbing as players chase the highest earnings.
