Balconia

Players build an apartment complex on a shared 5×5 grid, placing multi-faced building blocks one by one to satisfy resident preferences. Each turn a token determines which block is available; the active player selects which two faces they will claim and which two go to the opponent, then the opponent chooses the block’s placement on the grid. Scoring comes from creating adjacent combinations that match residents’ tastes—gardens, cats, naps, and similar motifs—across balconies and sides. Players alternate roles and aim to maximize points from patterns and adjacency when the grid is full.
