Haru Ichiban

Two apprentice gardeners use a shifting 5x5 pond of lilypads to arrange blossoms and score points. Each player has numbered flower buds and simultaneously reveals one to determine turn order for a sequence of actions: placing blossoms on dark or chosen lilypads, sliding a lilypad (which can shift others), flipping an unoccupied pad to its dark side, and drawing a new bud. Patterns of a player’s colored blossoms score: 2x2 squares, rows of four (horizontal/vertical or diagonal), and rows of five, with different point values. Rounds reset until a player reaches the target score and wins.
