Hellenes: Campaigns of the Peloponnesian War

A two-player block wargame set in the Peloponnesian War era where one side commands the land-based power and the other the maritime power. Players recruit and maneuver fleets, hoplites, cavalry, archers and other unit types across a map of the Aegean world, including the Peloponnese, mainland Greece, Macedonia, Thrace, Ionia and Sicily. Cards provide both Actions (movement, buildup, group movement) and Events (leader changes, plague, uprisings, revolts, civic unrest), and must be used for either their action or their event. Combat, sieges, raids and revolts affect an opponent’s prestige; reducing prestige to surrender is the primary victory condition. Scenarios cover multiple historical campaigns with playtimes typically in the 3–6 hour range.
