Two players reenact Roman campaigns in Gaul between 57–52 BC, with one side as the Roman commander seeking wealth and fame and the other controlling the scattered Gallic tribes resisting conquest. Play is card-driven: players draw a hand each turn and spend cards to move units, place control markers, and activate actions across a map of Gaul. Units represent individual Roman legions or Gallic tribal warbands, and each turn simulates a single year of campaigning. The game emphasizes strategic maneuvering and area control, using streamlined rules derived from a well-known Rome-vs.-carthage system for a relatively quick, tactical experience.
