Mega Empires: The Far East – South

Players command historic Southeast Asian empires across a map of islands, rivers and sea lanes, expanding population tokens, founding cities, moving ships and resolving border conflicts. Cities generate trade cards representing commodities and occasional calamities; trading is a central, social phase in which players openly and secretly exchange cards to build valuable sets while avoiding or offloading disasters. Wealth from trade buys civilization advances drawn from five categories (Arts, Crafts, Science, Civics, Religion), each granting powers and discounts that shape long-term strategy and unlock powerful effects. Additional map features—rivers, pirate ships and buildable walls—alter movement and interaction, while event and optional Zodiac modules introduce global effects during play.
