Players take the roles of press-ganged sailors who become pirates vying for control of a lawless island chain. The game runs as a cooperative campaign in which characters choose a class, build a personalized deck of allies, equipment, spells, and items, and tackle linked scenarios across multiple sessions. Gameplay uses card-driven encounters and dice checks to resolve combat, traps, and skill challenges while managing allies, henchmen, and ship assets. Characters advance between scenarios, adding new gear and abilities to their decks to face tougher villains, monsters, naval threats, and stormy hazards as the campaign unfolds.
