Warhammer 40,000: Conquest

Players take the role of rival warlords commanding armies in a two-player Living Card Game set in a grim sci-fi warzone. Each round players marshal units, play event and support cards, and clash at the first planet in a row of planet cards; winning a clash captures that planet. Planets bear asset symbols, and the first player to control three planets sharing a symbol achieves strategic dominance and wins. Warlords provide unique abilities, starting resources, and hand size, so deck construction centers on maximizing a warlord’s strengths while countering the opponent. The game supports seven distinct factions and allows mixed-faction alliances via an alignment mechanic.

ルールに関する質問

Ludoyaのルールアシスタントがルールブックに基づいて回答しています。

How do you actually win — do I need three planets or three of something else?

You immediately win if you have three planets in your victory display that share a common type (Material, Strongpoint, or Tech). (pages 4, 11)

At setup do we flip over all 7 planets or only some of them?

Shuffle 10 planets, deal 7 facedown, then the player with initiative turns the first five faceup (the last two remain facedown) and places the first planet token on the leftmost revealed planet. (page 5)

Do exhausted units count when resolving command struggles?

No — only ready units' command icons are counted for command struggles; if only one ready warlord is present that warlord automatically wins the struggle. (pages 7–8)

When I deploy, when do I pay the cost and where do different card types go?

You pay a card's cost immediately by moving resources from your pool to the token bank; army units are placed at a faceup planet on your side, attachments are placed attached to their specified target, supports go to your HQ, and events are played and then placed in your discard pile, and cards enter play ready. (page 6)

Who has initiative in a battle — the token or the warlord?

The player whose warlord is present at a planet at the beginning of that battle has initiative; if both or neither warlords are present, the holder of the initiative token has initiative (the token does not change hands when initiative comes from a warlord). (page 9)

How many copies of a card can I run and can I include allied or loyal cards?

You must include the warlord's 8 signature cards, may include up to three copies of any non-signature card, may only include loyal cards from your warlord's faction, and may take non-loyal, non-signature cards from one (and only one) neighboring faction on the alignment wheel; decks must be at least 50 cards. (pages 15–16)
