Players run a traveling circus in the early 1900s, moving a troupe across Europe to recruit performers and stage shows. Performers fall into five categories with different needs — Tamers, Acrobats, the Bizarre, Magicians, and Jugglers — and each act requires combinations of Rehearsal, Equipment, Supplies, Costumes, and Promotion. Acts can perform at three quality levels (poor, good, outstanding), with higher levels demanding more resources and offering greater rewards. Players balance resource allocation, choose between immediate benefits or Prestige Points for top performances, and can boost their operation through trailers, investments, and personnel upgrades.
