Frostgrave

Players portray rival wizards exploring the ruins of a frozen city in search of lost artifacts and arcane knowledge. Each player assembles a small warband—an apprentice plus hired henchmen such as thieves, thugs, and knights—and directs them in skirmish scenarios using movement, combat, and spellcasting. Wizards select a school of magic and unlock spells from a large roster as their campaigns progress. Individual sessions run in an hour or two, and rules support linking games into an ongoing campaign where characters gain experience, equipment, and magical secrets.
