Sahkku

Sahkku is a board game for 2 players. It plays in 30–45 minutes and is meant for ages 8 and up.

A traditional running-fight game played by the indigenous Sami in northern Scandinavia. Players command two opposing groups of warriors that start the game inactive; pieces become active only when a specific dice result occurs. Active pieces move along a defined path, capture enemy pieces by landing on them, and can be blocked by opposing pieces that send them back to their starting row. A special King piece has unique powers and switches allegiance when captured, altering the balance of forces as the game progresses.
