This is a cute game where players start with their meeples at the top left corner of the board. They flip two cards, which spawns things into a random square, and then they can move one meeple as far as they want in a straight line, or move 2 meeples one space. The catch is meeples can never move up nor left, so you are sort of playing some minor push your luck, as if you rush to the bottom of the board too fast you might miss the best power-ups. The game scores differently depending on which of the three adventures you chose. There is some dice-luck but the items you collect from the board mitigate it nicely. ★ Art, Iconography and components functional ★ Clever or interesting mechanisms ★ Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players ★ Multiple plays stay interesting ★ Low or mitigatable luck elements ★★☆☆☆ Raw enjoyment

Only played the 'basic' game. It was a little too fiddly and chancey for me. Interested in trying to other variants in the box.
