The modular map uses thirty location tiles to create varied layouts and tactical challenges, and encounters escalate as alien forces converge from multiple approaches. Gameplay centers on coordinated movement, dice-based combat, role synergies, and mission objectives that determine whether the team escapes or is overrun.
