Contra: The Board Game

Players take on the roles of elite commandos battling through dangerous stages and confronting large boss enemies controlled by modular enemy decks. Play centers on card-driven actions, dice resolution, and hand management as players move across a tactical stage map and contest control points to gain advantages. Before each session, players combine a commando deck, a stage deck, and a boss/enemy deck to create a unique scenario; modular deck construction and a stage deck yield many replayable matchups. Rounds involve timing attacks, mitigating dice outcomes, and coordinating abilities to survive waves of enemies and defeat the boss.
