Mégawatts

Players compete to build an electric grid by connecting cities and supplying them with power. Each turn players bid in an open auction to buy power plants, then purchase the fuel (coal, oil, garbage, uranium) required to run their plants, and expand their network along marked routes to reach more cities. Newer, more efficient plants enter the market as old ones are bought, so plant purchases influence availability for all players. Map-specific rules and boards alter geography, resource availability and certain plant behaviors (for example, heavier use of renewable or hydro options on some maps). The game ends when a player’s network reaches a predetermined size; the winner is the player who powers the most cities.
