Players lead rival noble families during the late Warring States era, seeking prestige and the favor of powerful ruling houses. Over four rounds, players place governors in regions, influence ruling houses, and sell goods to arriving merchant ships to gain wealth and benefits. Players also recruit soldiers and construct walls and watchtowers to slow advancing nomadic forces; the nomads move each round and trigger a shared battle when they reach the border that impacts all players. Victory is determined by who best balances governance, political influence, commerce, and defense to earn the most prestige.
