A dwarven stronghold lies in a vast cavern beneath the human village of Wellswood, beside the dark waters of Lake Thraren. Faint shafts of light from the village wells illuminate the lake, where humans and dwarves fish and gather strange fungi in an uneasy peace. As the village lord imposes heavier taxes, the Erdikr clan fortifies its hold, seeks to draw more dwarves to the settlement, and plots to reclaim their fallen, dragon-infested strongholds to the south.
