Dune: Variant Cards

Dune: Variant Cards is a board game for 2–6 players. It plays in 240 minutes and is meant for ages 12 and up. Ludoya players call it best with 6.

This variant adds eight Treachery cards to the desert conflict, with effects drawn from the Dune books and film. The cards let players inspect the next weather token, steal spice, make an additional troop shipment, or destroy units in a space affected by a Spice Blow. Other cards reveal an opponent’s remaining hand after battle cards are committed, protect a leader from betrayal, cancel that protection, or double casualties inflicted in a battle. The cards can replace unused Treachery cards in the base game and related expansions, or be used with a separate deck.
