Simulate carrier and air operations around the Battle of Midway, with each player using a separate map to increase hidden information about strikes, damage, and combat air patrol. Players plan and launch air strikes, choose aircraft types and timing, and allocate defenses to protect carriers and objectives. Americans balance defending Midway; Japanese balance capturing Midway or winning the carrier engagement, creating dual strategic objectives that shape planning and risk-taking. Surface ships are abstracted, contributing only as anti-aircraft, bombardment effects, or rare night engagements. The game emphasizes strike coordination, navigation errors, escorts, and timing of attacks.
