Order of the Gilded Compass

Players take the roles of rival treasure hunters vying for membership in an exclusive archaeological society. Each round, players roll and assign archaeologist dice to five active locations to dig, dive, bid, recruit specialists, and pursue secret contacts. Dice placement and timing determine which treasures, maps, specialists, or bonuses a player acquires. The game uses variable setup and a pool of nine buildings to change which locations and interactions are available each session. Play continues until the endgame scoring, and the player with the most treasure and influence wins the invitation to the society.

Dice game with Illuminatti flavour. The different configurations you can do every time are cool.

For a dice chucker, this was surprisingly meh. I know I'd prefer the Alea Iacta Est theme and art. This one is just so generic, and the modules make setup a chore. I think the simplicity of AIE was in its favor.
