Nidavellir

Recruit a company of dwarves and heroes to assemble an army capable of facing a dragon threat. Each round players bid coins on a row of taverns, then pick characters in descending bid order to add to their forces. Different dwarf classes score in distinct ways, so players balance class composition, special heroes, and coin-building upgrades to maximize points. Play emphasizes economic planning, tactical choices during drafting, and optimizing recruitment to outscore rivals across multiple scoring categories.

Regelspørgsmål

Besvaret ud fra regelbogen af Ludoyas regelassistent.

How are ties resolved when we reveal bids at a tavern — do gems break ties and in what order?

The highest coin on that tavern location becomes active; if coins tie, the tied players are ordered by their gem values (highest gem plays first) and resolution continues in descending gem order (p.5).

When do we trade gems and can gem 6 be traded?

Gems are traded at the end of each tavern resolution between the players who were tied on the same coin value, following the specific pairings for 2–5-way ties (p.6). The special gem 6 cannot be traded and its owner is excluded from the exchange (p.6).

When exactly do I recruit a Hero when I complete a full line, and are there limits on lines vs heroes?

You immediately recruit a Hero when placing a Dwarf creates a complete line of one rank of each class (or when a card/ability creates such a line) (p.5). You must always keep your total number of complete lines equal to your number of recruited Heroes plus one, and certain Hero effects (e.g., Bonfur/Dagda) that force discards can prevent recruiting until lines are restored (p.5, p.9).

If I transform or change a coin placed on a tavern being resolved, does that affect who won the tie for that tavern?

No — ties are determined during bid revelation before transformations, so transforming a coin on a tavern being resolved does not change the resolved order for that tavern and gems are still traded for that resolution as determined (p.6).

How do you calculate final Bravery values and what happens if there's a tie for Warrior majority?

Each class has its own Bravery formula (Warriors = sum of Bravery Points; Hunters = number squared; Miners = sum × ranks; Blacksmiths follow the sequence; Explorers = sum) and you sum all class values plus neutral Hero values and your coins for the Final Bravery Value (p.4, p.7). For Warriors, the player with the strict majority adds their highest-value coin to the Warrior Bravery Value, and if several players are tied for majority each tied player adds their highest coin (p.4, p.7).
