Star Wars: Outer Rim

Players take the roles of underworld figures—bounty hunters, smugglers and mercenaries—traveling the galaxy in personal starships to build fame and fortune. On each turn players move between systems, accept jobs and bounties, deliver illicit cargo, hire notorious characters, upgrade their ship, and confront faction patrols and rivals. Fame is tracked on a player board alongside ship upgrades, gear, reputation, jobs and bounties; the first to reach the fame threshold wins. Conflict and pursuit by galactic factions add risk as players pursue different paths to become the most famous outlaw in the outer reaches.

Regelspørgsmål

Besvaret ud fra regelbogen af Ludoyas regelassistent.

During the Planning step, can I both move and take another Planning option (like heal or +2,000)?

No — during Planning you choose exactly one option: Move, Heal, +2,000 credits, or use a Planning ability; you may not take more than one (Rulebook p.7).

If I move into a patrol space or the Maelstrom, do I have to stop and resolve it immediately?

Yes — when you enter a patrol space or the Maelstrom you must stop movement and resolve the patrol/space effect before continuing (Rulebook p.7).

How does buying from the Market work — can I exceed my ship’s card slots?

You pay the listed cost to buy a Market card and must place it into an available card slot on your ship or crew; you cannot exceed your slot limits (Rulebook p.8).

How do skill tests work — what do I need to roll to pass a test?

Skill tests are made with two dice and you compare the result to the test’s difficulty and any modifiers; pass/fail is determined by the skill-test thresholds shown in the rules (Rulebook p.11).

For bounties, what's the difference between capturing a target and eliminating it?

Capturing requires defeating the target and choosing the capture option to take them alive (with the capture reward/effects), while eliminating removes the target and grants the eliminate reward; full bounty rules and outcomes are explained on the bounty/job pages (Rulebook p.13).
