Craftsmen

Players compete to develop a small town’s economy and earn the mayor’s appreciation over three years. They build production buildings, connect them, produce raw materials and consumer goods, and buy resources when needed. Goods can also be shipped to distant regions for additional points. The player with the most appreciation points at the end wins.

This is an interesting production chain game, where players purchase cards that make A so they can purchase cards that make B with the eventual goal of making C, which then gets sent to boat areas that do majority scoring each round. In addition to majority scoring, the different goods are also worth different amounts of points inherently depending on how difficult they were to produce. The rulebook for this game was brutally poor, but there is a solid game here. The only issue for me is that I have a number of other goods conversion games that I would prefer to this game, so this isn't going to be a keeper for me, although I see why people like it. :star: Art, Iconography and components functional :nostar: Clever or interesting mechanisms :star: Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players :nostar: Multiple plays stay interesting :star: Low or mitigatable luck elements :star::nostar::nostar::nostar::nostar: Raw enjoyment
