ROOM: Agus and Monsters

Die Spieler räumen ein chaotisches Schlafzimmer auf, indem sie Karten in ein gemeinsames Tableau spielen und versuchen, in jeder Runde Stapel zu gewinnen. In jeder Runde nennt ein anderer Spieler eine Wertungskategorie (Bücher, Kleidung oder Essen), dann spielen die Spieler reihum jeweils 1–3 Karten offen aus und lösen eventuelle Effekte von Charakterkarten aus. Nachdem alle gespielt haben, nimmt der Spieler, der die meisten Symbole der gewählten Kategorie beigetragen hat, alle Karten auf dem Tisch als seinen gewerteten Stapel. Die Runden gehen mit einem neuen Startspieler weiter, bis das Deck aufgebraucht ist. Am Ende zählen die Spieler die Monster auf ihren gewerteten Karten; der Spieler mit den meisten Monstern gewinnt, mit einer besonderen Tie-Break-Regel für eine bestimmte Karte.

ROOM: Agus & Monsters showcases the characters from the beloved graphical novel series in an ideal card game for the youngest from home. Agus’ room is always messy, full of books, clothes and food. But among all these things out of their right place, we can also find some monsters! The goal of the game will be to gather more of these than the rest of players at the end of all rounds. The game shows two different types of cards, room cards and character cards. The first ones display a combination of three objects, either books, clothes or food, as well as monsters. The second ones, allow us to use special abilities that will turn the tides in our favor. On each round, the initial player will play one, two or three cards, stating one of the object categories, and the rest of players will play cards trying to score them all by playing more icons of the selected type. Whoever manages to gather more monsters from all the scored cards this way, will be the winner of the game! ROOM: Agus & Monsters is an ideal game to initiate the youngest into the world of tricks and buffling games, due to its easy rules, short duration and magic from its charming characters.
