The lowest‑value die you place on a Travel action space determines how many locations you can move (you may move fewer, but at least one). (pages 6, 8)

You must pay the travel costs for every route you use, and you pay those costs before doing or receiving anything else during that Travel action. (page 8)

No — to take contracts you must have at least one trading post in a city with contracts; only then can you place a die on the Contracts action and take up to two contracts from your contract cities. (page 10)

Khan’s Favor requires exactly one die (first player takes the leftmost slot; each subsequent use must place a die with value ≥ the previous), while Guild Seals require exactly two dice and the lower‑value die determines which seal (and jade bonus) you may take. (page 7)

You can use occupied blue action spaces by paying coins equal to the value of the lowest‑value die you are placing; you cannot use occupied brown action spaces. (pages 6, 14)

You may resolve bonus actions only before or after your normal action (not during it), and the Take Black Die bonus action (cost 3 camels) can be done only once per turn, though you may gain additional black dice as contract rewards. (pages 12–13)
