Apothebakery: The Culinary Alchemists

Take on the role of an apothecooking healer in a fantasy realm, gathering wild ingredients and rare resources with the help of small companions called Forries. Across six rounds, alternate between foraging, crafting potions and baking restorative confections, then dispatch those creations to wounded adventurers to heal and earn reputation. Players pursue objectives, cast spells and manage resources to maximize healing and reputation over three phases per round: Foraging, Alchemy and Healing. Victory goes to the player with the most reputation at the end of the day.

THE ART!!!! The illustrations and overall graphic design are chef's kiss, and it is a very fun little mid-level strategy game. I really enjoy it as a two-player game, but gathering resources can be frustrating with more players, leading to the game feeling short and difficult to regain balance or reach satisfying levels of accomplishment. Perhaps just playing a few more rounds would help.
