Comic Hunters

Players hunt down rare and influential comic issues to build themed collections over three rounds. Each round, players visit three of four locations to acquire comic cards, then place purchased cards into hero collections on the table. Adding a card advances markers on several icon tracks (Number 1, First Appearance, New Visual, Special Edition, Memorable Clashes), which grant points as they progress, while collections also score for size. After three rounds, the player with the most points from icons and collection totals wins.

Perfect theme for a set-collection game! There is not much to not like about the game if you like set-collection and drafting. Reminds me a lot of Museum Pictura as it has many overlapping mechanisms but I do prefer Museum Pictura more as a hardcore set-collection game. Having said that, the Marvel Comic theme makes this a bigger standout for me than anything else.
