Fiji

Players act as 18th-century European collectors trading glass beads with Fijian islanders for shrunken head treasures. Play proceeds over four rounds during which players secretly offer colored beads across three exchange phases. Each round uses a lineup of goal, condition, and effect cards that determine which offers earn bonus beads or other adjustments; ties cancel and pass effects down the line. After the exchanges, remaining beads are compared to the round’s goal cards to award shrunken head tokens. Victory requires anticipating opponents’ offers and balancing immediate gains against setting up favorable conditions in later exchanges. Components include colored beads, cards, and shrunken head tokens.
