Players take on the roles of Marvel heroes who must cooperate to stop a global villainous threat. Each player moves their hero to complete missions, confront enemy minions, and resolve encounters across the world, resolving attribute tests and combat against foes. Heroes build and spend two kinds of combo tokens—empowered tokens on themselves and primed tokens on enemies—to add successes to tests or attacks and to trigger hero-specific combo abilities. Using combo abilities advances a shared team-up track that funds powerful team-up abilities. The game focuses on timing combos, coordinating actions, and preparing for the final showdown against the nemesis.
